For the tiger!

The tiger leap

Don’t you worry your pretty striped head, we are gonna take you back to jungle from this clumsy little world

We want our children to see your beauty at its very best

Neither have we quit nor are we done

We have just started and this is surely not the end

1411 of you are reason enough for me to take charge

Get into my groove and let the greed discharge

I can earn a lot of money and I can do that, the day I want

But what I want even more is to see your might in the jungle and listen to that roar

Rest in peace is not what you are meant to do

You’re made for the kill and by God that’s what we want you to do

We came to your world and challenged your might

It wasn’t for need or for our plight

It was greed on our mind that we poached you around

Killed your thunder and brought you to the ground

But we are sorry and want to reprieve

We want to get rid of the guilt and that blood on our sleeve

Pardon us you king, the warrior of the jungle

Your plight is reason for all of us to be humble

Be humble and agree that its time for a call

A call to our conscious and to that to our soul

Let’s get together and correct what has been done wrong

It’s time to get the tiger back and broach a new dawn….

Come join us spread the word…lets save the tiger

A passionate post. It is sad to think that the Royal Bengal tiger may become extinct in our own lifetime. I like you am hoping that does not happen.

Hey, pretty good to see young bloggers/poets like you doing your nice bit of expression, dear Nitin! Well-composed poem and you’ve beautifully put the noble thought of concern across through it.

Hope, the belated new-fangled awareness does work positively towards the materialization of the goal and the country is saved from the global embarrassment of letting its gorgeous National Animal go extinct. Amen!
