Bing to replace Google in I-phone?

A news article in BusinessWeek says that Apple and Microsoft may be in talks to make Bing as iPhone’s default search engine instead of  Google. This move might have stemed from the fact that Apple and Google are future comeptitors in the mobile phone space.

Apple’s competition in the mobile arena isn’t Microsoft, but Google, and so it is right on the part of Apple to get Bing, which is fast emerging as the better of the search engines in its i-phone. The Bing app is great looking as well, with large photo backgrounds and text string searches that are easily at par, if not better than Google. Apple avoids throwing unnecessary support to Google (although the iPhone will still feature Google Maps, YouTube, and Gmail) while Microsoft gains a huge market for Bing.
